Insurance Payers Audit finds $6

-Inspectors found that Medicare Advantage insurers had added multiple billable codes for conditions in 99.3% of chart reviews even though they did not appear in records from doctors. -Additional diagnoses produced a net benefit of $6.7B for the companies. -While the report did not specify which insurers were found to have participated in this; United Health Group, Humana, CVS, and Aetna are among the biggest sellers of Medicare Advantage plans according to the Kaiser Foundation.
